Salvation Army's Christmas Angel program provides gifts for more than 50,000 Arizona children in need each year. Flagstaff Mall's Christmas Angel Tree will be located at Center Court, near the fireplace, and decorated with tags representing gift wishes for boys and girls ages 12 and younger. To participate, remove a tag from the tree and start shopping. Return your gifts, unwrapped, to the Christmas Angel tree by the deadline on the tag, and The Salvation Army will take care of the rest.

Flagstaff Mall is proud to host the Northland Hospice Light-a-Life event from now through Dec. 23, honoring loved ones with messages of remembrance and hope. A Pet Tree will also be displayed to celebrate our beloved animal companions. Those who make a donation to Northland Hospice will receive an ornament to place on the tree in honor of a loved one or pet. The Light-a-Life tree will be located in the entertainment area near JCPenney and open during mall holiday hours.

Celebrate the season with science and creativity! In this festive hands-on STEAM Lab, kids will grow their very own sparkling snowflake ornaments while exploring the science of crystal formation. Using simple materials like Borax, water, and pipe cleaners, participants will design a snowflake shape, set up their experiment, and watch as crystals form overnight. Along the way, we 'll uncover the science behind solutions, supersaturation, and states of matter, learning how tiny molecules come together to make crystals, just like real snowflakes in nature. This program is designed for kids in grades 2-5 and encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Plus, everyone will take home a one-of-a-kind snowflake creation! Get FREE one-to-one homework help for your child with the library's Homework Help service for youth in grades K-8! Local high school student volunteers are available to help with homework packets, studying for tests, reading practice, math fact practice, or similar school assignments that your child brings in. Homework Help is available by appointment on Thursdays in the Youth area. At the WORDS Book Club (We Often Read Delightful Stories) you can join in lively discussions of a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction.   The Little Prince (1943) by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

Irish Night is a blend of authentic, dreamy melodies, stomping jigs, and reels with world and Latin twists, as traditional fiddler Kate Rose joins forces with masterful multi-genre guitarist Armand Ramirez. Result: an intoxicating fusion and original, deeply rooted musical experience. The icing on the cake: all you dancers out there will love getting down to the fiery sounds, and we will teach simple Irish dance moves and configurations to liven your party. We may even throw in some drinking games or drinking dances. Lovers of Ireland and all things Celtic will connect with poetic interludes and stories from Kate's years in County Clare learning among the fiddling farmers.
