Verde Valley SciTech Festival Kickoff Extravaganza will be an event hosting organizations from all over the Verde Valley and greater Arizona area. Participants will gain exposure to new STEAM concepts and skills, engage in hands-on learning experiences, develop critical-thinking skills, and become familiar with VV STEM organizations and their offerings.

The duplex-style Riordan Mansion remains one of the finest examples of American Arts and Crafts-style architecture open to the public today. Designed by the architect of the impressive El Tovar Hotelat the Grand Canyon, Charles Whittlesey, the homes were built in 1904 with indoor plumbing, hotand cold running water, central heat, and electric lights, reflecting the most modern technology anddesign of the time.Seen by guided tour only, the interiors of the Riordan family homes look essentially as they did in 1904.The homes showcase original family belongings including fine examples of early Stickley furniture.
Volunteer opportunities available include Front Desk, Interpretive Tours, Grounds and Maintenance services.

K-Pop fans hunting for a good time will find it at Flagstaff Mall with an energizing Golden K-Pop Party on Saturday, Jan. 31. The free event, which runs from 1:30 to 3 p.m., will feature characters Rumi, Zoe and Mira, along with nonstop music, games and prizes presented by Funergy. Attendees can participate in hands-on crafts, including creating a Derpy Blue Tiger keychain, join in dance-along and sing-along activities, and collect glitter tattoos to showcase their sparkling style.
