Opening Reception and Fundraiser: Friday, April 24, 2026Exhibition Dates: April 24 – May 31, 2026Presented by Azulita Project in partnership with The HeArt Box
The HeArt Box Gallery is excited to present Re-Source, a juried exhibition celebrating creative reuse, sustainable materials, and ecological mindfulness. Opening on Friday, April 24, the exhibition invites the Flagstaff community to engage with art that sparks reflection on the origins, life cycle, and impact of the materials we use.
Re-Source is presented in partnership with Azulita Project, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing plastic waste and promoting environmentally conscious practices. The exhibition features innovative, thought-provoking works by artists exploring recycled, repurposed, biodegradable, and locally sourced materials, highlighting how artistic practice can align with environmental stewardship.
The ticketed opening reception and fundraiser on April 24 will feature a mini art walk between The HeArt Box Gallery and Mountain Sports, offering an interactive way to explore sustainable art and community engagement. Opening night ticket sales and donations support Azulita Project's mission to empower community action to prevent and reduce plastic waste.
“Re-Source is about more than just the materials—it’s about cultivating awareness, inspiring creativity, and connecting our community through art that respects and celebrates the Earth,” says Jill Sans of The HeArt Box. “We’re thrilled to partner with Azulita Project to highlight sustainable artistic practices and bring this conversation to the heart of downtown Flagstaff.”
