This community event benefits the American Cancer Society and its mission to save lives from cancer. Participants will walk from the base of Snowbowl Road up to Hart Prairie Lodge, with celebrations, activities, and opportunities for reflection along the route and at the lodge.

The Climb to End Cancer is a day of hope, remembrance, and unity for those impacted by cancer and those who support the fight to end it.

This event, known as parkrun, takes place every Saturday morning - same time, same place, same 5K distance. Run, walk, jog, walk the dog, push the grandchildren in a stroller, or volunteer - this event is free, for everyone, forever. It is an opportunity to get outside into the fresh air with a bunch of like-minded folks. It’s is worldwide. Join us for our 29th year! "See your neighbors. Meet your farmers. Know your food." The Prescott Farmers Market takes place Saturdays from 7:30am to 12:00pm at 900 Iron Springs Road (Dignity Health, YRMC Miller Valley lot at Iron Springs/Miller Valley) from April 4 through October 31, 2026. This market hosts local farmers, ranchers and food and craft vendors each week. Customers can find fresh specialty produce, meat, seafood, eggs, bread, baked goods, delicious ready-to-eat foods and more. As a vital part of the economy, the mission of Prescott Farmers Market is to support and expand local agriculture, cultivate a healthy community and increase access to affordable local food. Early morning is when the gardens truly come alive — and there's no better way to experience it than on a guided bird walk with Dr. Celia Holm. Wander the Arboretum as the birds begin their day, with an expert guide to help you spot and identify them along the way. Bring water, your camera, and comfy shoes. The walk starts promptly at 7:30 AM and is limited to 15 participants, so reserve your spot early!

Stop by the NACA Oak Creek Overlook Vista for beautiful & authentic Native American crafts! Our Artisans can also be found at the Grand Canyon Tusayan Museum!

Bird enthusiasts join a naturalist for a guided walk appropriate for beginner and advanced birders. Most year-round birds are found in the riparian area next to Oak Creek or along the field behind the Visitor Center. The Audubon Society has designated Red Rock State Park as part of the Lower Oak Creek Important Birding Area (IBA) because of the many species that live or visit here. Please meet up with the leader on the viewing deck above the visitor center.

Join us on a ~3.5-mile hike to the top of this nearby cinder cone. This hike will have an elevation gain of ~655 feet, and some great views from the top!

What you'll need: transportation to and from the trailhead, water, snacks, sun protection, and shoes for hiking. Please no dogs on this adventure.

How to get there: drive north from Flagstaff on U.S. 89 to Silver Saddle Road. Turn right (east) on Silver Saddle Rd and drive 0.5 miles to the trailhead on the left side of the road. We’ll meet you there!

Wrapped in Love Diaper Bank is running a donation and children’s book drive September 8 through October 14. They provide diapers, period products, incontinence supplies, and wipes to families across Yavapai County. They’re also collecting children’s books for holiday diaper bundles.
