Irish Night is a blend of authentic, dreamy melodies, stomping jigs, and reels with world and Latin twists, as traditional fiddler Kate Rose joins forces with masterful multi-genre guitarist Armand Ramirez. Result: an intoxicating fusion and original, deeply rooted musical experience. The icing on the cake: all you dancers out there will love getting down to the fiery sounds, and we will teach simple Irish dance moves and configurations to liven your party. We may even throw in some drinking games or drinking dances. Lovers of Ireland and all things Celtic will connect with poetic interludes and stories from Kate's years in County Clare learning among the fiddling farmers.

Irish Night, a new addition to Charly's legendary musical array, will take place every Thursday, 7-9:30pm in Flagstaff's Weatherford Hotel. Join us for an evening with artist Carolyn Schmitz, whose imaginative creations transform the familiar into something extraordinary. In her current exhibition, Return to Stone, Carolyn turns from paint and canvas to celebrate her lifelong fascination with the “ordinary” rocks she has gathered and studied for decades. From these unaltered stones, she builds miniature worlds—tiny cities, factories, and faces—that remind us of both the endurance of the Earth and the fleeting nature of human invention. Carolyn will also share insights into her broader body of work, including her beloved animal portraits adorned with hats made from native plant materials, and her inventive nature-based sculptures—polar bears molded from clay circling a pool of crude oil, or a shoe crafted from agave leaves.

A lifelong naturalist as well as an artist, Carolyn translates her deep curiosity about the natural world into art that surprises, delights, and connects us to the living Earth. Come be inspired by her stories, process, and playful imagination.

Carolyn Schmitz was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and moved with her family to the mountains outside Prescott, Arizona, in 1952.

Almost, Maine is a play set in a mythical, northern Maine town called Almost on a magical winter night when the aurora borealis is visible. The play consists of nine short, connected vignettes that explore the themes of love, loss, and longing through the lives of its residents. Through a series of seemingly magical and surreal events, characters experience new beginnings, second chances, and connections with each other.

The Beasley Gallery proudly presents Resonance: BFA Capstone Exhibition, showcasing the creative achievements of graduating BFA candidates from the School of Art + Design.

The exhibition features works created by senior studio arts majors in a range of disciplines including ceramics, new media, painting, and printmaking, showcasing the culmination of the students' academic and creative growth in the School of Art + Design.
