The Flagstaff Plein Air Festival will take place from October 4–18, 2026, challenging both painters and photographers to capture the beauty of the Northern Arizona region, on location. This multi-day event blends artistic practice with community engagement, environmental awareness, and visual storytelling. At the culmination of the festival, participants will showcase their work in a professionally juried exhibition. The public is welcome to watch the artists at work throughout the week, participate in a variety of workshops and presentations, and purchase completed artwork at the culminating First Glimpse Reception and Sale. A two-week Festival Exhibition to follow.

This event, known as parkrun, takes place every Saturday morning - same time, same place, same 5K distance. Run, walk, jog, walk the dog, push the grandchildren in a stroller, or volunteer - this event is free, for everyone, forever. It is an opportunity to get outside into the fresh air with a bunch of like-minded folks. It’s is worldwide. Join us for our 29th year! "See your neighbors. Meet your farmers. Know your food." The Prescott Farmers Market takes place Saturdays from 7:30am to 12:00pm at 900 Iron Springs Road (Dignity Health, YRMC Miller Valley lot at Iron Springs/Miller Valley) from April 4 through October 31, 2026. This market hosts local farmers, ranchers and food and craft vendors each week. Bird enthusiasts join a naturalist for a guided walk appropriate for beginner and advanced birders. Most year-round birds are found in the riparian area next to Oak Creek or along the field behind the Visitor Center. The Audubon Society has designated Red Rock State Park as part of the Lower Oak Creek Important Birding Area (IBA) because of the many species that live or visit here. Please meet up with the leader on the viewing deck above the visitor center.

Wrapped in Love Diaper Bank is running a donation and children’s book drive September 8 through October 14. They provide diapers, period products, incontinence supplies, and wipes to families across Yavapai County. They’re also collecting children’s books for holiday diaper bundles. And during Diaper Need Awareness Week, September 14–20, they’re teaming up with the Arizona Diaper Bank to raise one million diapers statewide which includes matching funds that double your donation. Sedona’s favorite high-flying tradition is back for another incredible day atop Tabletop Mesa! Join us on Saturday, October 10, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Sedona Airport for Wings & Wheels ‘26, a family-friendly open house packed with powerful engines, live aerial displays, and breathtaking Red Rock views. Get an up-close look at aviation history with static displays featuring everything from vintage airplanes and historic warbirds to cutting-edge aircraft. On the ground, gearheads can marvel at the Sedona Car Club Show, which is spotlighting iconic MOPAR vehicles this year.

Beyond the static displays and high-octane tarmac demonstrations, visitors can take their experience to new heights with once-in-a-lifetime airplane and helicopter rides over Sedona's famous red rocks. The Mesa will also feature interactive displays, family activities, a marketplace filled with local vendors, and a wide variety of delicious food trucks operating all day long.

Parking is entirely free, and gate admission is cheap—visitors are simply asked to bring a non-perishable food item or a $2 donation per person, with 100% of gate proceeds directly benefiting the Sedona Community Food Bank. Over the weekend of October 10-11, 2026, the 35th Annual Sedona Arts Festival will showcase a diverse lineup of more than 100 juried artists from across the country. Held on the campus of Sedona Red Rock High School, 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road in West Sedona, this renowned fine art festival will also feature live music, food trucks and more, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Sedona’s red rocks. The festival will run from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Considered Sedona’s oldest and largest premier arts event, the Sedona Arts Festival will be celebrating its 35th birthday with award-winning artists working in a wide array of mediums, including glass, painting, metal, woodworking, photography, ceramics and more. The festival enjoys a great mix of returning artists, along with new artists that keep the show fresh and interesting each year.

The Sedona Arts Festival rounds out its offerings with a variety of food truck choices alongside live music throughout the weekend. The lineup will be announced in the fall. Gourmet Row features locally produced kitchen, bath and home items available for sale.

Cancer Support Community Arizona (CSCAZ) is celebrating five years of serving northern Arizona with A Walk to Remember, a free community event honoring those impacted by cancer while raising funds to keep CSCAZ's support programs free.

The public is invited to participate in two community walks: a 1.5-mile walk beginning at 9 a.m. from the CSCAZ Flagstaff office and a second walk beginning at 11 a.m. at NAU's Upper Observatory Field. Individuals and families impacted by cancer can also register for workshops, classes and a complimentary lunch throughout the day, including plant-based nutrition workshops, sound bath healing, a breast cancer education presentation, yoga and expressive arts.
