Multiple homes north of Kingman remain on notice for a possible evacuation Thursday as the Element Fire burns nearby.

Arizona Game and Fish warn that the bobcat may potentially be rabid and has not been caught.

Residents evacuated by a wildfire near Kingman were able to return home Thursday. The 589-acre blaze is now 45% contained.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising motorists of upcoming travel delays on Interstate 40 near Kingman. ADOT says lane restrictions will begin Wednesday, July 5, 2023, for pavement repairs.

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating an in-custody death at the Adult Detention Facility in Kingman. Separately, officials in Phoenix also report an in-custody death at a jail facility in Maricopa County.

Authorities in Kingman have issued a Silver Alert for a missing woman. Police say 71-year-old Brenda Marshall is known to have left the Kingman area on August 10th, 2022, and has not bee seen since.

The Bureau of Reclamation has approved funding for five western states to improve long-term drought resiliency through drought contingency plans. Kingman has been selection to receive $100,000 to improve water supply reliability.
