A 23-year-old Flagstaff man expressed remorse before he was sentenced to 19 years in prison on a second-degree murder conviction for killing his landlord during an altercation over late rent.

An Arizona appeals court has upheld a man's convictions and sentences stemming from a DUI crash in Mohave County, ruling that a trial court was correct to consider results of a blood sample taken in Nevada in circumstances not permitted in Arizona.

Gov. Doug Ducey this week signed a bill to commission a task force to study the high rates of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls in Arizona.
