Prescott’s Phippen Museum is once again hosting the 10th Arizona Pastel Artists Association National Show. The exhibition and sale runs from February 28 through April 19, 2026. Creativity and unique subject matters spark this showcase of paintings full of rich, saturated colors that only pastels can achieve.

We invite you to the grand opening reception on March 14th from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The reception includes a presentation by artist Karen Budan, a luncheon and an awards ceremony, which are open to the public and free of charge.

Paintings in the exhibition include landscape, still life, abstract and more, including western and local themes. Works from fifteen northern Arizona artists will be on display as well as artists from across the state and nation.
Nationally acclaimed and award-winning artist, Karen Budan, served as judge for the juried show. Karen is a contemporary still life artist, whose style ranges from realistic to highly photorealistic. Her paintings capture vivid colors, luminous reflections and extraordinary detail.

The duplex-style Riordan Mansion remains one of the finest examples of American Arts and Crafts-
style architecture open to the public today. Designed by the architect of the impressive El Tovar Hotel
at the Grand Canyon, Charles Whittlesey, the homes were built in 1904 with indoor plumbing, hot
and cold running water, central heat, and electric lights, reflecting the most modern technology and
design of the time.
Seen by guided tour only, the interiors of the Riordan family homes look essentially as they did in 1904.
The homes showcase original family belongings including fine examples of early Stickley furniture.

Volunteer opportunities available include Front Desk, Interpretive Tours, Grounds and Maintenance services.

Learn about tenant rights, fair housing, legal assistance, and rental and homeownership resources, and connect with local housing and service providers. Whether you are looking to rent, buy, or need help navigating housing challenges, this event is for you.

Resilience Revisited extends this legacy by inviting contemporary artists to reflect on what resilience looks like today. This exhibition recognizes that resilience is not only an individual trait, but a collective practice rooted in community, memory, and lived experience.

By placing new artistic responses alongside historical narratives, the exhibit creates a dialogue across generations. It honors the women whose stories were often excluded from traditional archives while making space for present-day voices to reflect on identity, perseverance, and belonging in Northern Arizona.

This event, known as parkrun, takes place every Saturday morning - same time, same place, same 5K distance. Run, walk, jog, walk the dog, push the grandchildren in a stroller, or volunteer - this event is free, for everyone, forever. It is an opportunity to get outside into the fresh air with a bunch of like-minded folks. It’s is worldwide. Bring a group of friends and try something you don't see everyday, like trapeze or pole samplers. These 30 minute samplers are short but sweet introductions to aerial-- that means there's no experience required! Being only $14 dollars per sampler, you are free to try everything. There is absolutely no limit to the amount of samplers you can sign up for, in fact we encourage you to try them all and see which apparatus speaks to your heart more. Teens may participate in adult samplers. We hope to see you on April 4th!
Registration in advance is recommended. These samplers fill up so fast!
