The Coconino County Cooperative Extension Program trains Master Gardener volunteers to provide free science-based horticulture information to our community. This includes information on plant selection, insects, plant diseases, planting, pruning, irrigating, fertilizing, and more. This is a 16-week training. The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premiere of “The Shepherd and the Bear” showing March 13-18 at the Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre.

Set high in the majestic French Pyrenees, “The Shepherd and The Bear” explores a conflict provoked by the reintroduction of brown bears in the midst of a traditional shepherding community.

The film follows an ageing shepherd who struggles to find a successor as bears prey on his flock, and a teenage boy who becomes obsessed with tracking the bears.

Through its breathtaking cinematography and immersive storytelling, “The Shepherd and The Bear” is a modern folktale about tradition, community and humanity’s relationship with a vanishing natural world.

Believing his lover, Jennifer (Academy Award-winner Jessica Chastain), a socialite and philanthropist, will support him, he leaves everything behind — narrowly escaping death in the process. However, his arrival disrupts Jennifer's carefully curated world. She will do anything to protect both their futures — and the life she has built.

“Dreams” is a tense, erotic drama from acclaimed director Michel Franco.

Start your St. Patrick's Day morning festively as Southwest Skye Pipes and Drums members "pipe the library open" in a special St. Patrick's Day Bagpipe Celebration at the Goodwin Street entrance. Music will begin at approximately 8:55 am and conclude around 9:30 am. This program is presented with funding from the Friends of the Prescott Public Library.

Prescott’s Phippen Museum is once again hosting the 10th Arizona Pastel Artists Association National Show. The exhibition and sale runs from February 28 through April 19, 2026. Creativity and unique subject matters spark this showcase of paintings full of rich, saturated colors that only pastels can achieve.

We invite you to the grand opening reception on March 14th from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The reception includes a presentation by artist Karen Budan, a luncheon and an awards ceremony, which are open to the public and free of charge.

Paintings in the exhibition include landscape, still life, abstract and more, including western and local themes. Works from fifteen northern Arizona artists will be on display as well as artists from across the state and nation.
Nationally acclaimed and award-winning artist, Karen Budan, served as judge for the juried show. Karen is a contemporary still life artist, whose style ranges from realistic to highly photorealistic. Her paintings capture vivid colors, luminous reflections and extraordinary detail.

The duplex-style Riordan Mansion remains one of the finest examples of American Arts and Crafts-
style architecture open to the public today. Designed by the architect of the impressive El Tovar Hotel
at the Grand Canyon, Charles Whittlesey, the homes were built in 1904 with indoor plumbing, hot
and cold running water, central heat, and electric lights, reflecting the most modern technology and
design of the time.
Seen by guided tour only, the interiors of the Riordan family homes look essentially as they did in 1904.
The homes showcase original family belongings including fine examples of early Stickley furniture.

Volunteer opportunities available include Front Desk, Interpretive Tours, Grounds and Maintenance services.
