Arizona Snowbowl will host its 2026/27 Winter Job Fair on Thursday, October 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. Applicants can learn about seasonal positions, meet the team and interview in person. Open roles include ski and snowboard instructors, lift operators, rental technicians, guest services attendants, food and beverage staff, retail associates and more.

Irish Night, a new addition to Charly's legendary musical array, will take place every Thursday, 7-9:30pm in Flagstaff's Weatherford Hotel. It features Wild World Irish Fiddle, a blend of authentic, dreamy melodies, stomping jigs, and reels with world and Latin twists, as traditional fiddler Kate Rose joins forces with masterful multi-genre guitarist Armand Ramirez. Result: an intoxicating fusion and original, deeply rooted musical experience. The icing on the cake: all the dancers out there will love getting down to the fiery sounds, as Kate teaches simple Irish dance moves and configurations to liven your party. There may even be drinking games or drinking dances. Lovers of Ireland and all things Celtic will connect with poetic interludes and stories from Kate's years in County Clare learning among the fiddling farmers. Mama's Broke returns to Coconino Center for the Arts with brand new music from their upcoming album Reunion.

The award-winning Canadian duo, Amy Lou Keeler and Lisa Maria, blend folk traditions from Eastern Canada, Appalachia, Ireland, and beyond into a harmony-driven sound. Following their JUNO-nominated album Narrow Line, Reunion explores themes of resilience, connection, and community.

The Flagstaff Plein Air Festival will take place from October 4–25, 2026, challenging both painters and photographers to capture the beauty of the Northern Arizona region, on location. This multi-day event blends artistic practice with community engagement, environmental awareness, and visual storytelling.

At the culmination of the festival, participants will showcase their work in a professionally juried exhibition. The public is welcome to watch the artists at work throughout the week, participate in a variety of workshops and presentations, and purchase completed artwork at the culminating First Glimpse Reception and Sale. A two-week Festival Exhibition to follow.

Spend the weekend surrounded by art, creativity, and the charm of Old Town Cottonwood at the Arizona Wine Country Artists Village, October 9–11 at Old Town Activity Park.

This free, outdoor art and craft fair brings together talented artists and makers from across Arizona and the region, offering a chance to shop original, one-of-a-kind pieces you won’t find in a typical store. Meet the artists behind the work, watch them create, learn about their craft, and find something special to take home.

There’s something for everyone, including a free scavenger hunt and raffle with artist-donated prizes and a $500 cash grand prize, plus a hands-on Children’s Art Activity Tent where kids can get creative and make their own artwork.

And when you’re ready for a break, you’re just steps from everything that makes Old Town Cottonwood a favorite destination. Grab a bite, explore local shops and galleries, or visit one of the area’s nearby wine tasting rooms.

Admission is free, and the event is family and pet-friendly. Come browse. Come discover. Come meet the artists. And maybe find something you’ll love enough to take home.

Every morning, a volunteer naturalist leads a guided nature walk informing visitors about the different life zones of Red Rock State Park. The subjects discussed on this walk may include geology, wildlife, history, archeology, and plant life. The naturalists welcome questions during the walk, enhancing the learning experience. The program is included with park entrance fees.

Ages 8 to 17 Swing by the community room at the East Flagstaff Community Library to play games and table top games!
