We invite you to volunteer at Riordan Mansion State Historic Park!
The duplex-style Riordan Mansion remains one of the finest examples of American Arts and Crafts-style architecture open to the public today. Designed by the architect of the impressive El Tovar Hotelat the Grand Canyon, Charles Whittlesey, the homes were built in 1904 with indoor plumbing, hotand cold running water, central heat, and electric lights, reflecting the most modern technology anddesign of the time.Seen by guided tour only, the interiors of the Riordan family homes look essentially as they did in 1904.The homes showcase original family belongings including fine examples of early Stickley furniture.
Volunteer opportunities available include Front Desk, Interpretive Tours, Grounds and Maintenance services.

Learning more about the native plants in the Sedona area is a great way to enhance any hike. Our volunteer guides explain how plant life is interconnected with indigenous cultures, pioneer settlers, people in our contemporary times and wildlife.
This program is included with park entrance fees. Space is limited in the program, so reservations are encouraged and can be made at the beginning of each month for that month's program, (928) 282-6907.
The Sacred Mountain Lion Dance Team will perform a traditional Chinese Lion Dance and do a kung-fu demonstration set to taiko drumming! They will also teach about the cultural aspects of the Lion Dance, which is meant to dispel negative energy and bring good luck and prosperity.
Come experience a these unique parts of Chinese culture and stay after to take pictures with the lion costume!

The NAU Cello Studio is going to Italy! This summer, members of the studio will be attending the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Acqui Terme, Piedmont, Italy! The cello studio is reaching out to their community to help make this once in a lifetime opportunity a reality!
