STEM City’s Confluence is a community exhibition that brings art and STEM together through original visual works inspired by the science, technology, engineering, and math happening across Flagstaff. The program connects artists with STEM professionals, researchers, students, and industry partners to turn real ideas, discoveries, projects, and innovations into creative works that help people experience STEM in a new way.

Each piece in the exhibition is created through collaboration, giving artists the opportunity to interpret scientific and technical concepts through their own creative lens while giving STEM professionals a new way to share their work with the community. The result is an exhibition that highlights both the creativity behind STEM and the curiosity, imagination, and problem-solving that connect art and science.

Arizona Snowbowl will host its 2026/27 Winter Job Fair on Thursday, October 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. Applicants can learn about seasonal positions, meet the team and interview in person. Open roles include ski and snowboard instructors, lift operators, rental technicians, guest services attendants, food and beverage staff, retail associates and more.

Flagstaff Creepy Con is a horror, paranormal, and true crime convention happening Saturday, October 10th, 2026 at Little America Hotel in Flagstaff, AZ. We’re expecting 1,000+ attendees throughout the day, featuring vendors, guest speakers, live podcast recordings, and community engagement.

While we embrace all things creepy, the event is also designed to be a family-friendly and welcoming safe space. We’ll have cosplay throughout the event and special trick-or-treating opportunities with vendors for kids in costume, creating a fun and interactive experience for attendees of all ages.

Meetings are held both in-person and via Zoom and feature presentations by experienced genealogists on a wide range of relevant topics. Open to the public; non-members welcome!

Society for a presentation by Marilyn Fredericks

Marilyn, whose Hopi name is Honyesnem (“Sitting Bear Maiden”), shares insights into the traditional Hopi culture. Her many-faceted career as legislator, tribal judge, court interpreter and Registered Nurse has led her to understand how a Hopi woman can thrive while honoring traditional lifeways. Marilyn lives in Bacavi Village, Hopi Homelands, where she was born. She serves as an Arizona Site Steward, monitoring ancestral sites in the Coconino National Forest near Flagstaff and in the Red Rocks area. Marilyn assists with traditional ceremonies, sharing her knowledge and educating others on Hopi lifeways.

Join the sober curious and those in search of a different path of recovery at the International Conference of Secular AA presented in Phoenix from Friday, November 13th through Sunday the 15th at the Hilton Resort at the Peak. This event brings together atheists, agnostics, freethinkers, humanists, secular people — and anyone interested in recovery without a religious perspective.
