Get assistance with your genealogy research from a member of the Northern Arizona Genealogy Society. Please come prepared with a specific question or problem and a genealogy mentor will help guide you in your research. This is a virtual session via Zoom, registration is required. On your mark, get set... Taiko! Feel the beat and learn about Taiko drumming with instructor Eileen Morgan. For youth of all ages. Summer programs are popular and fill up fast. Seating is on a first-come basis. Taiko Drumming with Eileen Morgan is presented with funding from the Friends of the Prescott Public Library.
Edie Dillon’s recent mixed media sculpture offers thought provoking visual interpretations of the ideas that lead us away from the limiting frame of human exceptionalism: interdependence, reciprocity, and connection between humans and the more than human world.
The growing Rights of Nature movement – which advances nature itself as a body deserving legal rights – has the potential to significantly increase our chances of sustaining all life on the planet. The movement puts into practice our increasingly inclusive and multidimensional understandings of the more than human world – understandings that encompass both deep spiritual traditions and sophisticated scientific discoveries.

Everyone will have a chance to play our passive trivia game. Come out and flex your knowledge of the Colorado Plateau and the Museum of Northern Arizona. A prize will be awarded to the winner. Kids’ activities will be offered in the courtyard, so bring the whole family!

Join professional genealogist Sandra Adragna for an engaging workshop designed for those who already have a family tree started and want to go beyond basic records.
Explore church, cemetery, military, land, court, and newspaper records while learning strategies to break through genealogy “brick walls” and uncover new pieces of your family’s story.
Participants should have a basic understanding of census and vital records and a free FamilySearch account set up before class.
Class Requirements: Please have a free Family Search account (familysearch.org) set up before the class. Bring your Family Search password and any information you have about parents, grandparents, and (if possible) great-grandparents.

Irish Night, a new addition to Charly's legendary musical array, will take place every Thursday, 7-9:30pm in Flagstaff's Weatherford Hotel. It features Wild World Irish Fiddle, a blend of authentic, dreamy melodies, stomping jigs, and reels with world and Latin twists, as traditional fiddler Kate Rose joins forces with masterful multi-genre guitarist Armand Ramirez. Result: an intoxicating fusion and original, deeply rooted musical experience. The icing on the cake: all the dancers out there will love getting down to the fiery sounds, as Kate teaches simple Irish dance moves and configurations to liven your party. There may even be drinking games or drinking dances. Lovers of Ireland and all things Celtic will connect with poetic interludes and stories from Kate's years in County Clare learning among the fiddling farmers.
