Stop by the NACA Oak Creek Overlook Vista for beautiful & authentic Native American crafts! Our Artisans can also be found at the Grand Canyon Tusayan Museum!

The Overlook Vista is open daily from 8 AM to 4 PM, depending on the weather. Crafts that can be found at our Artisans' tables include jewelry, ornaments, pottery, sculptures and much more! Check out the Oak Creek Overlook Facebook and Yelp pages for more info and up-to-date hours.

If you need help applying for or renewing AHCCCS Health Insurance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, or other government assistance programs*, Helping Families in Need is here to help. While their mission is primarily to help families with children, individuals without children needing assistance are also welcome. Helping Families in Need is available every other Thursday from 9 am - 1 pm at the library. Drop in or call 1-800-298-4346 to set an appointment.  Helping Families in Need is a non-profit organization whose mission is to make a lasting change in the lives of Arizona's children and their families by securing affordable health care and other resources for those most in need.  *Note: This organization cannot help with government phone/internet programs. If you need help with those, please visit the Ask a Librarian Desk for assistance.  

Decorate graham cracker houses at the 18th annual Cookie House Decorating event! For children of all ages. Seating is limited, so make your group's reservation today. One adult "helper" per child, please. This will make the program available to more children. Flagstaff Mall is proud to host the Northland Hospice Light-a-Life event from now through Dec. 23, honoring loved ones with messages of remembrance and hope. A Pet Tree will also be displayed to celebrate our beloved animal companions. Those who make a donation to Northland Hospice will receive an ornament to place on the tree in honor of a loved one or pet. The Light-a-Life tree will be located in the entertainment area near JCPenney and open during mall holiday hours.

The Sedona Railroaders will have their annual holiday train show this year from December 12th to December 27th. It will be closed on the 24th and 25th. This traditional holiday event in its 30th year will take place at the Arches at Sedona shopping center in the Village of Oak Creek, 6101 State Route 179, Suite D-E. This new location is next door to Absolute Bikes. The hours will be daily 11 AM to 4:30 PM. The show is free to the public.

This year’s show is again sponsored by the Sedona McDonald’s.

No Christmas would be complete without memories of the old-fashioned department store’s displays of miniature toy trains. “Get on Board!” and enjoy the re-creation of some of these memories through stunning visual images of operating model railroad equipment. This year’s exhibit will include an American Flyer S gauge layout. O, N, and HO gauges will also be on display.

The Mansion is festively decorated in turn-of-the-century style with wreaths, garlands, greenery and a towering fir tree trimmed with old-fashioned ornaments.
